Today was PDP day for the Red Mountain Ski School. I conducted two sessions through the day trying to balance ski improvement with a bit of teaching methodology. Cold today -20C at my house at 8:00 AM. I focused on short turns, trying to keep warm. The Silverload skiing is good, a few rocks around but all are visible. I used my good skis with no problems. There are a few patches of powder around and I imagine the skiing will be good higher on the mountain but I expect there will also be a few nasty surprises under the beautiful powder.
This video is Leanne Hutton, Red Mountain Instructor, just off piste on Silverload chair.
