What better Canadian thing to do on Canada Day (July 1, for you UK/Aussie types) than go skiing (or snowboarding)
Aaron Cosbey and I hiked then skied Old Glory, this has become a tradition. It took us 9 hours to hike from the bottom, ski it, hike out from where we skied and then hike down the mountain. We were fantastically exhausted at the end of the day.
We were keeping a close eye on the weather on the way up. It held out for the fun part, but we were nailed by a huge electric storm on the way down. |
The hike out is tough, it is steeper than it looks in this photo.
